The Cain’s Quest Organizing Committee is sad to learn that Jacques Deschesnes of Team #10 has died tragically… in a plane crash which departed from Baie Comeau, PQ on Aug 26 and was headed for Grandes – Bergeronnes.
Jacques has been with Cain’s Quest as part of Team # 10 since 2006. From 2006 – 2009, Jacques raced in Cain’s Quest first with partner and friend Guy Hovington and then in 2009 with brother Jean Deschesnes. Jacques was an excellent racer, with extrodinary snowmobiling skills. He was a true sportsman and adventurer and will be sadly missed. We would like to extend our condolances to family and friends at this time.
Funeral Details:
The urn will be available for viewing Friday September 24th starting at 2:00pm and Saturday September 25th at 10am. The funeral mass will be at 7:00 p.m. followed by a get together at the ‘Multifunctional place’ in Les Escoumins.
