March 19 – News Update
Press Release
Date: March 19, 2012 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Labrador City, NL – Today in Cain’s Quest Snowmobile Endurance Race teams made their way along the second leg of the race toward their next 10 hour mandatory layover stop in Nain. Teams are really battling rough terrain out there along the race route and it has been the demise of a total of 13 teams so far leaving only 22 teams left in the competition. Historically, approximately 50% of the registered teams make it to the finish and it appears that Cain’s Quest 2012 is proving to be just as unforgiving.
Teams 22 and 25 News Update
Teams 22 and 25 are back on the clock and have left Nain checkpoint. It appears, their spot units are not transmitting and CQ is making arrangements to reach them and to reset the units.
